Back in 2013, I was browsing the Apple App Store looking for new apps that might be useful for my day to day life as a Real Estate Agent. I saw a cool looking baby blue house with a pink heart coming from the chimney, and my relationship with Zumper was born.
Zumper is an online search platform for finding rental properties anywhere in the US. Think of a better version of Zillow/Trulia and specific to rental properties only. I signed up as a Zumper PRO in order to post our rental properties on Zumper and was contacted soon after by COO Taylor Glass-Moore and CEO Anthemos Georgiades. Taylor and Anth were going to be in town for a conference and asked if I had some free time to meet up and discuss Zumper PRO. I have to admit, I was a little bit floored when the founders of the app wanted to get together and discuss their product that I had just downloaded (I don’t remember getting an email from Zuckerberg when I downloaded the Facebook app). We met at my office and they were interested in hearing about what my needs were as a property manager, and how Zumper could fit those needs. Other than Anth being a big Tottenham Spurs fan (nobody is perfect), they were genuinely good guys and were going about building their platform the “right way.”
Since that initial meeting, I’ve become a Zumper Disciple, using Zumper to market all of our active rental properties and using the new ZAPP screening service to screen our tenants. This service is quickly becoming the “go-to” way to search for a rental property on-line. They also have fantastic apps in both the Apple Store and Google Play Store. Both of the apps are free. If you’re in the market for a rental property in Downtown San Diego, make sure to download Zumper on your phone as well as check out the 92101 MLS feed on www.92101urbanliving.com. ')}
