Balboa Park, home of the San Diego Zoo, is in the center of San Diego, just north of the Columbia and Core District in Downtown San Diego. The zoo is known worldwide, but there are so many other things to see and do at the park, especially during the summer.
Don’t Try This at Home
The Ruben H. Fleet Science Center is putting on “Don’t Try This at Home,” 3 shows of 20 minutes each that rotate throughout the day. They promise that the show will be messy, noisy and hair-raising. Although the show will be perfect for kids, adults who aren’t faint-of-heart will get a real kick out it as well. Admission is $16.95 to $19.95.
Maya-Hidden Worlds Revealed
The west coast premier of this exhibition unveils the mysteries of the Mayan people in Central America. It began June 12th and will run through January 3, 2016 at the San Diego Natural History Museum. Tickets are $11.00 to $29.00 for non-members.
Circus-Science Under the Big Top
This is a circus, but more. It teaches the science behind the contortionist and tightrope walker. Attendees can even get involved in the action. This is also at the Reuben H. Fleet Science Center, and it runs through September 7, 2015. Admission is $16.95 – $19.95.
