As a downtown San Diego real estate brokerage, we might be a little biased when we say we love this neighborhood. But San Diego residents are in for a treat this summer as the Sounds of Summer concert series returns to the shores of the Pacific. From late June through early September, the Downtown San Diego Partnership, in conjunction with live music app GigTown and local recording company Pacific Records, will bring a new set of local bands and artists to stages around the neighborhood.
Get the App
Thanks to GigTown’s involvement in the concert series, the Sounds of Summer will be offering a free-to-download app that brings the festival’s magic into your pocket. Would-be concertgoers can search for concert dates, locations, and artists using the app, and lost tourists can download detailed maps charting downtown’s many unique venues.
Check Out Upcoming Events
While you missed yesterday’s shows, which included Pat Dowling, the King Taylor Project, and Sam Bybee, acoustic songwriter Tony Palcovic and crooner Neil Selinger are prepared to combat the heat on multiple July dates, and Anna Vaus is sure to have audiences singing along to her July 15 performance at Horton Plaza Park. With local rock scene stalwarts Bob Peace and Ezekiel Morphis set to break up the dog days of August on the 5th and the 19th, respectively, the Sounds of Summer series has terrific acts lined up all summer.
Stay Connected
Sounds of Summer allows the people in the San Diego area to relish the vibrant creative arts scene in their city, and provides another fun activity to get the weekend started right.
