Music aficionados in San Diego now have an incredible new venue, the Music Box, to indulge their musical passion. With 13,000 square feet of prime Downtown San Diego real estate, beautiful architecture, and three floors that can hold over 700 patrons, there’s plenty of room for everyone.
There isn’t a bad view of the stage either, whether you’re watching from the mezzanine, which offers bottle service in opera booths and can seat somewhere from 40 to 120 people, from inside of a private plush VIP room, or while mingling with friends on the main floor, which is mostly standing-room only.
What sets this music venue apart is the tantalizing menu of delectable food choices. Dinner offerings are served beginning at 5pm, or 3 hours before every show, and are handled by Best Beverage Catering.
Choose from easily shared, hand-held options like shrimp tacos with avocado, Kobe beef sliders with glazed onions, Russian dressing and cheddar cheese, or other yummy offerings like Calamari with a dreamy dipping sauce of orange chutney. Even simple dishes like hot dogs are dressed up in a bacon wrap and served with jalapeno mustard sauce.
Along with a cool new bar and funky architecture that helps open the space, the venue also features themed murals of music legends from a local artist.
They’ve got a full lineup of upcoming shows, including local band The Young Wild, Full Strength Funk Band, and Europe. Check out their website for more details and make a night of it.
