As a Downtown San Diego Condo and Loft home owner I love to see more younger families, students and overall a younger crowd make their way to Downtown for an urban cool living. Downtown San Diego has been ranked 12th in growth adding 5,638 residents aged 25 to 34. St. Louis, New York, Boston and Philadelphia had larger increases, but have larger overall populations to draw from. The increases in Downtown San Diego are due to a large number of well-educated young adults seeking the Downtown Urban lifestyle. The East Village/Ballpark District has seen the largest increase of young adults in this Downtown movement.
