I have said it before and will say it again….how cool is it to be a Downtown San Diego Condo home owner? I mean who has the opportunity to sit and watch all those people trying to be the next American Idol from the comfyness of your own home?
Petco Park in the East Village/Ballpark District will be totally filled today as the auditions start on July 8th. 2011 marks the 11th season of the hit “American Idol”. 4 years ago San Diego held auditions at Qualcomm Stadium in Mission Valley, over 12,000 14-29 year old aspiring singers flooded the stadium to try and get their shot at moving on closer to the finals. This year’s sign ups happened on July 6th & 7th. Contestants that make the first cut will go on to the 2nd round of auditions which will be held through Monday July 11th. Singers have lined up and camped out by the hundreds awaiting their chance to perform in front of the judges to try for a chance to be Americas next Idol.
