Head on down to the Museum of Man and enjoy this annual beer fest. This fun festival features great beer as well as information about the role hops plays in the brewing of beer. Hess Fest
July 30
Happening the same day as Hopfest, this festival celebrates the 6th anniversary of the Mike Hess Brewing company. The Hess Fest will feature live music from two bands as well as beer offerings from out-of-state brewers as well as local San Diego brewing companies.
Stone 20th Anniversary Celebration & Invitational Beer Festival
August 19 and 20
The Stone 20th Anniversary Celebration & Invitational Beer Festival will give lovers of Stone Brewery the chance to sample some of their favorite beers from years past along with beer from over 60 guest breweries. All proceeds from the event benefit a number of charities including the Surfrider Foundation and the YMCA.
San Diego Spirits Festival
August 27 and 28
While not necessarily a “beer festival” in the traditional sense, the annual Spirits Festival is a local favorite and offers plenty of fun in the sun. Attendees can snack on food from places like Bali Hai, Blush, and Ocean Pacific, and try spirits like Don Loco tequila, Old Forester whiskey, and Old English gin.
