For the past week or so…if you have been walking behind Petco Park in the East Village, you would have noticed an unusual amount of construction. Since I am a Downtown Broker and pride myself on knowing about all the current Downtown San Diego Real Estate construction projects, this was a mystery to me. So, you could imagine my surprise when I saw huge towers (almost equaling the height of the Petco Park stands) being raised yesterday.
The flags on the towers all read “Cavalia“. After “goggling” the name…I discovered that Cavalia is a show very similar to Cirque du Soleil, but with horses. Turns out…one of the co-founders of the popular Cirque Du Soleil, Normand Latourelle is the creator of the show entitled: “A Magical Encounter Between Human and The Horse”. Apparently, the show is quite a production that travels all over the world. According to its press release…the production is quite elaborate and includes: 50 horses featuring 42 riders, aerialists, acrobats, dancers, and musicians from all over the world.
Residents of the East Village can expect the show to run through the end of November. Tickets for this performance start at $40 all the way up to $220 for VIP seating. Events like this are the best part of the Downtown San Diego lifestyle. You never really know what is going to come into “your back yard”. ')}
